What to expect when you file a claim With every claim, big or small, we take pride in delivering responsive, fair and professional service. Our experts will maintain open and regular communication with you throughout the lifecycle of the claim.
The claims process starts when you contact our Officers or nearby branch offices to notify either through phone call or in person as you wish.
Your claim is timely assigned to a Seasoned Claims Officer whose skills and experience match your needs.
The claims process starts shortly after your claims professional is assigned, reviewing the details and establishing relevant contacts. Our seasoned Claims Officers will follow-up your case to the processes you need o follow in order to settle your claim immediately. At The Scene Of Accident:

Do whatever you can to minimize the human and property loss that could result from the accident and make sure that the vehicle is protected from further damage. If possible, make a sketch plan of the scene of the accident showing the position(s) of the vehicle(s), road markings, etc and take pictures of the scene showing the position and damage of the vehicle.
If the accident results in damages to other vehicle(s), person(s), animal, or any other property:

  • Note the registration number of the other vehicle(s) involved and the names of their owners and drivers:
  • Note the names and addresses of the person(s) injured.
    Note the damage to animals and/or other property.
  • Ask the names and addresses of everybody else who involved including witnesses.
  • If possible, take pictures.
  • Do not admit responsibility, sign any statement to this effect, or make any offer to any Third Party. Your insurance policy prohibits you from admitting liability without your Insurer’s written agreement.

Later:

  • Report the accident to a nearby Police or any other similar Government Body immediately Notify the accident to the Head office of or any of its branches nearby immediately
    Duly complete a claim form
  • Present a police report
  • Provide photocopies of the Driver’s Identity Card and Driving License
  • Provide photocopy of the Ownership Certificate of the vehicle
  • Settle the excess required under the Policy
  • Settle any outstanding premium (if any)
  • Settle any contribution required in respect of replacement of new parts for old (if any)

For Death compensation

  • Duly completed Claim Notification Form
  • Police Report (Which explaining the scene and circumstances of the accident)
  • Death Certificate
  • Beneficiary’s legal heirs

For Permanent Disability

  • Duly completed Claim Notification Form
  • Original medical board Proceeding
  • Payroll
  • ID Card , Passport

For Medical Expense Refund

  • Original Medical Certificate
  • Original Medical Invoices
  • Original prescription

Note: Notification of claim-accident/disease should be completed & returned within seven days of the accident/disease.

  • Duly completed Claim Notification Form
  • Original Insurance Policy/Certificate
    Originals or copies of Invoices
  • Packing List
  • Original Bill of Lading and/or other contract of carriage
  • Preliminary Survey Report
  • Correspondence exchanged with carriers and/or other parties regarding their liability for the loss or damage.
  • Store Goods Receiving Note
  • Truck Way Bill
  • Police Report (if accident happened during inland travel)
  • Vessel Arrival Notification Slip
  • Any other Documents which may be required by the Insurer

Motor Insurance Claims Guide
