The recently established Ethiopian Insurance Women Association (EthIWA) named W/ro Meseret Bezabih President during its official launch at the 51st AIO Conference.
The recently established Ethiopian Insurance Women Association (EthIWA) named W/ro Meseret Bezabih, CEO of Hibret Insurance, as President of the association during the official launch on 27 May 2025 at Ethiopian Sky Light Hotel, held as a side meeting of the 51st Conference and Annual General Assembly of the African Insurance Organization (AIO).
The association is a member of the African Insurance Women Association (AIWA) and will work towards the vision of empowering, advancing and fostering leadership of women in the Ethiopian Insurance industry.
A Proven Leader
W/ro Meseret is currently the CEO of Hibret Insurance, Board Chairperson of Ethiopian Reinsurance Company (Ethio RE), and Board member of the Association of Ethiopian Insurers.
It is to be recalled that she was crowned as the Best CEO of the Year in Africa during the 50th Conference and Annual General Assembly of the African Insurance Organization (AIO) held in Windhoek, Namibia on June 03, 2024.
